RIT’s Office of Graduate Studies has honored Brendan Gordon, a 2014 graduate of the Industrial Design program, as the first recipient of the Outstanding MFA Thesis Award. His thesis studied the stigma and outpatient treatment of adult urinary incontinence (UI). Gordon proposed developing a system-based design that incorporates a reusable garment following research on UI history, social stigma, product history, market trends, user needs, and resource management. He currently works as a designer at the Coastal Sustainability Studio at Louisiana State University. Congratulations again Brendan Gordon, we look forward to seeing more great work from you in the future!
