Congratulations to Audrey Kirk and Beatriz Alvarez for placing among the top projects in the 2014 edition of the International Housewares Student Design competition.

Audrey’s contemporary corn broom, Maize, took 3rd place, which includes $1000 and a trip to Chicago to attend the International Housewares Show, where she’ll display her project in the education booth.

Beatriz’s clever cutting board set, Clean Cut, received an honorable mention with $250 and inclusion in the education booth as well.

The Housewares Competition, now in its 21st edition, is one of the most respected student competitions in the U.S., receiving around 200 submissions from 30 design schools around the world.

Our very own Professor Alex Lobos was an invited judge again for this year’s competition!
