From May 18-21, RIT-ID was at the International Contemporary Furniture Fair (ICFF), and received rave reviews. Exhibitions and events include, but were not limited to what is described below. Photos from ICFF, and related events, can be seen to the left.
Metaproject 03 booth at ICFF, Javits Center
RIT ID seniors from this years Metaproject 03 course will be featured in an Areaware sponsored booth at the Javits Center. The exhibit will display 22 unique toy designs that were fabricated primarily from sustainable wood.

DIS (Danish Institute for Study Abroad) booth at ICFF, Javits Center
RIT graduate students, Sunyoung Stephanie Kim and Chia-Chen Becky Lee were hand picked by architect Mira Nakashima to show their chairs that were designed at the DIS (Danish Institute for Study Abroad) program in the summer of 2011.

10 RIT ID student who called themselves the “1582”, an RIT industrial design collective, showed a varied collection of projects from RIT and the DIS (Danish Institute for Study Abroad) program.

RIT at Lazzoni Celebration
RIT development co-hosted the event with RIT ID Alumni Efe Kababulut ’09, Lazzoni Owner & US Director, in the Lazzoni showroom. This event celebrated RIT Industrial Design students at the 2013 NYC Design Week who are participating in the International Contemporary Furniture Fair. Special guests included Massimo and Leila Vignelli, and the Areaware Team from Metaproject03.
Areaware, world-renowned avant-garde accessories manufacturer, hosted a party for our student participants in their Brooklyn showroom on Monday, May 20th at 7PM. The party celebrated and displayed the work from this years senior Metaproject 03 collaborative course.
