Business Insider recently conducted a survey of art directors and product designers to come up with the top design schools in the world. The results of the survey lead to The World’s 25 Best Design Schools, which ranked RIT’s School of Design at #11.
One respondent stated that, “Rochester Institute of Technology’s College of Imaging Arts and Sciences produces some of the most prepared, career-oriented designers in the workforce… The quirky blend of technical and art-oriented students help to mold the innovative thinkers. If you want your first pick of jobs out of college come to RIT.”
Congratulations to the students, faculty, and alums of the School of Design and CIAS, on this achievement!
At RIT, we believe that industrial design education lies at the nexus of theory, process and practice. Industrial design is a human-centered discipline which requires an understanding of the complex relationships between culture commerce and environment. Our varied and experienced faculty expose our students to the history, context and state of the art while imparting the skills necessary to compete as contemporary designers.
