At the October 10 meeting of RIT’s IDSA Student Chapter, Frank Blasi gave a presentation and showed dozens of samples of the work of Serigraph, one of the manufacturers Mr. Blasi represents for L&B Worldwide. Serigraph, based in Wisconsin, is a leader in two-shot injection molding, in-mold decorating, and other processes at the leading edge of plastics technology. Earlier in the afternoon, Frank had presented a similar demonstration for students in the senior Design Collaborative course, who are working on concepts for personal insulin pumps used in diabetes management. Insulin pumps are among the many consumer products that use molding technologies from Serigraph. In the photo, Blasi is at the right, speaking with RIT IDSA Student Chapter President Ian O’Neill.
