Title: “What if…”
Tuesday, March 13th, 12:00 PM – 12:50 PM
BLD 07 – Booth Hall, RM 3310
Contemporary design needs to define fictional universes – hypothetical dreams where people desire to submerge before we talk about new design. This talk will focus on a number of projects centered on design and story-telling including some of the designer’s early works and a short intro to her current work in the Qatar.
Line Ulrika Christiansen is currently based in Qatar where she works as the Director of Design Foundation at the Virginia Commonwealth University. Prior her move to the Middle East she worked several years in Italy as an interaction designer the Interaction Design Institute Ivrea. In 2005 she is co-founder and partner of Interaction Design Lab in Milan, Italy. She has taught and lectured at various international design institutions in Italy, UK, Sweden, Russia, Croatia, Qatar and China.
