RIT students Sean Petterson (Senior Industrial Design) and Justin Hillery (Senior Multidiciplinary Studies), were recently awarded patents for their new invention, the Strong Arm. Both students sat down with Professor Chance Glenn (host of Intelligent Conversations) to discuss their invention as well as entrepreneurship and business. You can listen to the complete podcast “Let’s Get Down to Business” on iTunes or visit the shows Facebook page.

The Strong Arm is a new lifting safety system that distributes heavy loads to prevent bodily injury. The system works by redirecting the lifting load forces to strategic pressure points on the back and torso. The Strong Arm user is forced into the proper lifting posture to minimize or avoid potential injury.
